Simple, Transparent Fees for Peace of Mind

At Early Years Nursery, we believe in keeping our fees clear and easy to understand. Our aim is to give families confidence, with no hidden costs or complicated pricing structures.

All fees are billed monthly in advance and are calculated on a pro rata basis over 51 weeks of the year. For children attending five full days per week, a discounted rate is applied, calculated across 50 weeks.

To support consistency and your child’s development, we require a minimum attendance of three half-day sessions, spread across three separate days each week.

A non-refundable registration fee of £250 applies to all wraparound care places. We do not charge a deposit.

Our fees are inclusive of:

  • All meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the day, including formula milk
  • Nappies, wipes, and creams
  • All nursery enhanced activities, including extra-curricular sessions, trips, and experience days.

We also offer parents the option to opt out of voluntary charges that cover meals, non-consumables, and enhanced or extra-curricular activities. If you choose to opt out, all items must be provided from home and must follow our packed lunch policy, as well as our wider nursery policies and procedures.

We are open 51 weeks of the year and close on all Bank Holidays, for up to three staff inset days, and during the Christmas period.

Funded & Free Childcare

From the term after your child turns 9 months old, you may be eligible for 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare, subject to eligibility. For further information about eligibility criteria, parents can visit the official government website at https://beststartinlife.gov.uk/

This is provided under the Free Entitlement to Early Education (FEEE) scheme.

From the term after child’s third birthday, all children are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded childcare, regardless of eligibility criteria.

As an independent childcare provider, Early Years Nursery Uxbridge does not offer funded-only places. However, we support families by applying eligible funding towards our core hours, reducing your overall fees.

Tax Free Childcare Vs 30 Free Funded hours

Tax-Free Childcare and the 30 Hours Funded Childcare schemes are separate government initiatives, but they can be used together to help families manage childcare costs more effectively.

Tax-Free Childcare offers valuable support for working parents by covering 20% of childcare costs through government contributions. Families can receive up to £2,000 per child annually, or £4,000 per year for children with disabilities, providing much-needed relief from the financial pressures of childcare. Meanwhile, the 30 Hours Free Childcare scheme offers a set number of ‘free’ childcare hours, giving parents additional relief.

By combining these two schemes, families can maximise their savings while ensuring access to quality childcare.

Government 30 Free Hours VS Funded Childcare

You may hear Government funding referred to as “free childcare” or “funded childcare”, these terms are often used interchangeably. Both describe government-supported early education and childcare programmes.

All children aged 3 to 5 years are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded childcare. In addition, eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours of funded childcare.

Funding for eligible children now begins from the term after they turn 9 months old.

How many hours per week will my child be funded?

As permitted by the local authority, Early Years Nursery Uxbridge offers stretched funding across 51 weeks of the year. This allows eligible families to access 22 funded hours per week, subject to their individual eligibility code.

A maximum of 10 funded hours may be claimed in any one day, in line with local authority guidance.

Can I mix funded and paid hours?

Most of our families use a combination of funded and paid hours. We will tailor your sessions to suit your needs and apply funding accordingly.

Any hours attended outside of a child’s funded entitlement, including additional hours beyond the funded allowance, will be charged at the nursery’s private hourly rate of £10 per hour.

All funded places are subject to eligibility checks, availability, and compliance with current government and local authority guidance. Please obtain an eligibility code from: Free Childcare for Working Parents: Apply for free childcare - GOV.UK

For further information about eligibility criteria, parents can visit the official government website at https://beststartinlife.gov.uk/.

What is the Parental Declaration Form and why do I need it?

The Parental Declaration Form gives us permission to claim your child’s funded hours from the local authority on your behalf.  All parents must complete and sign this form, which will be provided by the nursery. Without it, we are unable to apply for or process your child’s funding.

Please ensure the form is returned promptly, as late submissions may result in a delay or loss of funded hours.

Do I need to reconfirm my eligibility?

For any funding, where you have received a code from HMRC, parent needs to re-confirm their eligibility every three months (HMRC will send a reminder to let you know).

If details are not re confirmed by the deadline, there is a grace period until the end of the term. You may not be eligible for next term funding.

What if I’m already claiming for an older child?

You will need to add your younger child to your HMRC account and apply for a new code for them separately.
