Our Toddler Room at Early Years Day Nursery is thoughtfully designed to match the energy, curiosity, and growing independence of children aged 24 months to 3 years. The space is full of age-appropriate resources and furnishings that are easily accessible, helping toddlers explore, learn, and express themselves freely throughout the day.
At this exciting stage of development, toddlers are becoming more confident and independent. Each member of our dedicated team supports no more than five children at a time, allowing us to provide attentive, personalised care while encouraging children to make their own choices and build self-confidence.
Toddlers continue to grow through the three prime areas of development. As their curiosity expands, we introduce four additional specific areas from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to support deeper learning:
Exploring stories, letters, and early reading.
Discovering numbers, shapes, and simple counting.
Learning about people, places, and nature.
Creating and expressing through music, art, and imaginative play.
Our educators integrate books, numbers, language, and sensory materials into everyday play, sparking curiosity and encouraging exploration. Toddlers are given the time, space, and encouragement to create, imagine, and experiment as they begin to make sense of the world around them.
