Where imagination grows and little minds thrive daily

At Early Years Day Nursery in Uxbridge, we have created a warm, welcoming environment where children can explore, discover, and thrive. Each space from our Baby Room to the Toddler and Preschool areas is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of every age group, filled with familiar, homely touches like mini bookcases, child-sized sofas, and low tables.

We believe that the environment is a powerful teacher. Alongside parents and educators, it plays a vital role in your child’s learning journey. That is why our nursery spaces are carefully arranged to encourage independence, creativity, and confidence, both indoors and in our inspiring garden area, which doubles as an outdoor classroom.

Consistency is key to helping children feel safe and secure. Across our nursery, you will find core resources, imaginative toys, engaging games, and creative materials always available, yet our rooms are flexible enough to transform into exciting new worlds led by your child’s imagination.

At Uxbridge, we nurture a love of learning through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences, giving your child the best possible start in life.

Babies Environment

Our baby rooms are thoughtfully designed to support the rapid growth and development of our youngest children. From soft spaces for cuddles and stretches in their early days to carefully chosen toys that encourage rolling, sitting, standing, and those exciting first steps, every detail is tailored to meet their evolving needs.

We provide a calm, nurturing setting where babies feel safe to explore, interact, and begin discovering the world around them. With more space allocated per child than in our older age groups, babies have the freedom to move, grow, and build confidence at their own pace.

This is the very first step on their nursery journey and we ensure it is filled with warmth, discovery, and gentle encouragement every day.

Toddlers Environment

Around the age of 24 months, children move into our Toddler rooms, vibrant, engaging spaces designed to spark curiosity and independence. These rooms are thoughtfully arranged to give toddlers the freedom to explore, experiment, and develop new skills through play. From puzzles and construction toys to imaginative play areas, everything is set up to encourage hands-on learning and problem-solving.

This stage marks an exciting step toward self-care and independence. Potties, low-level toilets, and child-sized sinks are built into the room, allowing your child to learn essential life skill.

You will also notice familiar household items in their environment, child-sized versions of what they see you use every day. These elements support your toddler’s natural desire to copy, learn, and make sense of the world around them.

Preschool Environment

At around the age of three, your child will begin their preschool journey in a rich and supportive environment designed to nurture their growing independence and curiosity. Our preschool rooms feature dedicated areas such as a construction zone, home corner, book nook, and creative spaces for music, art, and imaginative expression. These spaces are carefully planned to encourage group interaction while supporting each child’s individual learning path.

Alongside these focused areas, we provide opportunities for role play, social development, and emotional growth. Children can safely explore friendships, express feelings, and build essential problem-solving skills. There are also calm spaces for quiet time and reflection, offering balance within their busy day. Their experiences in preschool set the foundation for a smooth transition to school, continuing the Early Years Foundation Stage journey they began with us and preparing them with the confidence and readiness to take that next big step.

Outdoor Environment

Our garden is open to the children every day, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and learning. It features a dedicated outdoor classroom, a brand-new mud kitchen, and soft, absorbent safety surfacing to help protect against bumps and falls.

We also take the children on regular local trips-whether it is to the nearby shops or places of interest, each outing is thoroughly risk assessed, and we always maintain the correct staff-to-child ratios. To support their understanding of safety, we also invite local emergency services to visit and teach the children about staying safe and how to call for help in an emergency.
